Galeton Fire Protection District is a combination department, operating two stations with full time, part time and volunteer personnel. The department covers 150 square miles and was established as a volunteer department in 1955.

Station 1 is located at 36060 County Rd. 49 and opened in 2016.

Station 2 is located at 33535 Colorado Highway 392 in Gill, Colorado. This station was constructed to lower the insurance premiums in the southeastern portion of the district thanks to faster response times.
