On April 12th, 2025 at 14:25 units were dispatched by the Weld County Regional Communications Center to a drowning in progress. UC Health Medic 243 was already on scene and reported a party to be struggling to stay afloat in the middle of the lake on a paddle board. Battalion 401 arrived and established command. Dive 401 arrived and swiftly launched their boat. The victim was retrieved and  brought to the shore. The patient was evaluated and warmed by UC Health paramedics on scene.
