On March 6th, 2025 at approximately 13:51 Poudre Fire Authority was dispatched to the 1800 block of Baltusrol Drive for a medical emergency. This was quickly updated to a Rescue callout when dispatch learned the victim had actually become unconscious and fallen approximately 10 feet into the foundation of an unfinished home. Engine 12 arrived on scene and accessed the victim to begin patient care. Firefighters were able to access the patient via a ground ladder and use a stokes basket from Ladder 1 to extract the victim from the foundation. This particular rescue was considered a Low Angle Rescue.
