On June 11th, 2025 Windsor Severance Fire Rescue welcomed a new engine to the fleet. This 2025 Pierce Velocity, purchased through Front Range Fire Apparatus will serve the western side of the district, while the former engine will move to Station 2 in Severance. Windsor Severance Firefighters and community members joined to celebrate the new engine as well as the 1925 Reo Speedwagon's 100th birthday. To commemorate the Speedwagon, firefighters utilized it to "wet down" the Pierce engine, welcoming it to service. The firefighters and children from the community took turns wetting down the engine before drying it and pushing it into the bay. Once the ceremony was completed, community members were invited to enjoy a birthday cake for the Speedwagon.
